Code: MCA321
Short description:
Certain applications for 3-phase AC machines such as indirect control of mixer, require additional levels of control to obtain a desired outcome.
This training module will cover issues relating to advanced control AC 3-phase machines in a targeted fashion.
Contents:
- Contactor circuit for controlling a 3-phase motor.
- Wiring and function of self-holding circuit.
- Problems associated with a reversing contactor circuit.
- Layout of a 3-phase motor for star-delta start startup 230 V/400 V.
- Wiring and function of a timer relay.
- Set-up of a reversing contactor circuit with automatic star-delta start-up.
- Speed control of AC-motors using a frequency convertor.
Competencies: The participants...
- is able to plan, design, setup and test a contactor for a 3-phase motor.
- is able to plan, design, setup and test a lacing function.
